Guess the day's five-letter word in six tries. Each guess tells you which letters are in place and which are close.

1. Guess the secret five-letter word in six tries or fewer. There's a new word every day, and it's the same for everyone.
2. Type on your keyboard, press Backspace to delete and Enter to submit; on mobile, use the on-screen keyboard.
3. After each guess the tiles change color: green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it's in the word but somewhere else, and red means it's not in the word. Only words from the list are accepted, and a rejected word doesn't cost you a try.
4. Solve the daily word to share your result, and solve it on consecutive days to build your streak; running out of tries resets it to zero. Play another gives you random words that don't count toward your streak.
5. Keep an eye on the on-screen keyboard: it gets colored too, so you can see which letters you've already ruled out. Letters can repeat: if you use one twice and only one copy lights up, the word has it just once.
